    Donald Trump's new tariffs on almost all US trading partners have taken effect, hitting China particularly hard with a 104% levy on all goods. [Editor's note: the US president later announced a 90-day pause on the tariffs, but raised them to 125% on China]. China's premier says Beijing has enough policy tools to offset any impact.
